Rubber Compounds for Rubber Fenders

The rubber compound used for rubber fenders should consist of imported natural rubber and synthetic rubber with good elasticity and resistance to ageing, seawater, oil and abrasion. Reclaimed rubber must never be used. The embedded steel plates (metal frame) inside the fender must be blast-cleaned to Sa 2.5 or better, and Chemlok adhesive is used for the rubber-to-metal bond. Fender accessories must be given anti-corrosion treatment, and the fenders should be easy to maintain and replace once installed.
